“Blowing out someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine brighter.”
I love candles and generally have about 9 lit in my room at one time. I use all shapes and sizes but only use vanilla scented ones as I am allergic to a lot of the other scents.

Reflections at the Marina. In less than a month, the marina will start filling up with boats. I can’t wait 🙂

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.

Good morning folks and sorry I wasn’t around much yesterday…I had a very busy day but did take about 45 minutes to head down to the marina. And I’m so glad I did. One of the first things to catch my eye was this duck. Now, I see lots of ducks in my area but most are mallards or redheads. This one was totally new to me, so I snapped several pics.
When I got home, I did a quick search on google and believe this is an Ancona Duck which are normally found on farms. I’m not sure where he came from but he was with a bunch of female mallards and looked quite at home.
Here are a few more photos of the other sights I saw while there.
Autumn Leaf under the ice.
Tugboats and a barge in the icy boat wells.
Fish under the ice.
Peche Island and the icy Detroit River.I hope you enjoyed my little visit to the Marina..I know I did 🙂

“Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples, nor is it just about the gifts, fancy dinners or dozens of roses. Valentine’s Day is the opportunity to let your friends and family know how much they mean to you. We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. Spread love and happiness to those around you; remember that not only today but each day you can make a difference in someone’s life, you don’t need an excuse or a special day to show show someone you care”
