Yesterday we headed out around nine in the morning for Traverse City Michigan. We were supposed to leave by seven but it didn’t work out. Once we got on the road, it was smooth sailing. There was no trouble crossing the border and zero delays. Normally crossing over to Detroit from Windsor can be a time consuming as well as frustrating venture but yesterday we got lucky.
Once in Michigan, the traffic was light and there were no major issues. In hindsight, it might have been better that we left a bit later because rush hour traffic was long gone. As we got out of Detroit and continued to head north, the colors started to change. I could have stopped every five feet on the highway but of course that just isn’t possible. Instead I chose to take a few photos out the window of the moving vehicle. Don’t worry, I wasn’t driving at that point…lol
We arrived in Traverse City around 2 pm, found our hotel, checked in and headed out to the Mission Peninsula. Although I have been to Traverse City once before , it was a place I didn’t get too.
We are headed out the door in about 5 minutes to Leland Michigan and the Sleepy Bear Dunes. The sun is shining and the temperature is supposed to reach 78 F today, so it should be a good one.
I hope you enjoyed a little taste of the colors of autumn and I hope to bring you lots of other interesting sites in the next couple of days. Have fun and keep bubbling:)
